Untangling bling

My friend’s grandmother, who is an avid knitter, donated lots of yarn for decorating boobs. They are now all untangled and put into bags and boxes.

Bling Drive, textart

I came home from last week’s guild meeting with 1m each of all these glorious ribbons from textart which was the shop of the day at our meeting. I tried very hard not to get greedy when the owner generously said I could pick as many ribbons as I’d like to, but as you see, I didn’t succeed very well.

Boobs, May Guild meeting

My friend, Inger Marie, brought a couple of boobs to Make a Boob Day at our guild, Rogaland Quiltelag. I insisted I would take pictures and post them before they got decorated, and here they are.
Kari brought a bag filled with beautiful ribbons. Some of them might be used for hanging boobs; I’m still thinking of additional ways of displaying boobs besides appliquéing them onto quilts.
I also found this beautiful flower in the bag.

Bling Drive, Rogaland Quiltelag

I was so happy when I was informed that my guild, Rogaland Quiltelag, would sponsor the project with bling. I got to go bling-shopping myself so I could fill the holes in the by now quite extensive Bling collection:

Ribbons and beads and flowers and buttons and whatnots in all the colours of the rainbow.

I’ll be doing a Make a Boob workshop at our May guild meeting next week, so it’s good to have everything in place.

Boob Mail, Darlene

Darlene aka SewCalGal sent a box packed with boobs and bling; no less than 84 machine quilted boobs fresh from the shower. She used samples from a machine quilting class she’s teaching and needed to wash out the markers. The washing (showering and stamping) makes the boobs even softer and more textured.
