Workshop at Craftretreat

Yesterday’s all day workshop was fun with lots of lovely ladies of all ages. Doll house, embroidery and teddy bear people from all over the country gather here once a year and take classes, watch exhibitions and shop.

We set up our tables in the morning.
Almost ready to go

with my impromptu sign perfectly imperfect on the wall
and a rainbow of colours on the table.

My stand had lots of visitors all day, and people took their time to sit down, talk and sew.

Half an hour goes by quickly when you’re doing handwork so I was very pleased with the turnout on a day like this.
Thank you to each and everyone who participated!

Bling Drive, textart

I came home from last week’s guild meeting with 1m each of all these glorious ribbons from textart which was the shop of the day at our meeting. I tried very hard not to get greedy when the owner generously said I could pick as many ribbons as I’d like to, but as you see, I didn’t succeed very well.

Thank you so much; these will look wonderful on boobs!

Boob Mail, Liz

Liz from UK sent 8 gorgeous boobs, each one dedicated to one of her loved ones who have had breast cancer including a male relative. It’s a little known fact that men get breast cancer too; my father did several years ago which is one of the reasons why I decided to do this project in the first place.

Thank you so much for your little works of art, Liz, they are beautiful!

Boob Mail, Caroline

Caroline from UK sent these finished boobs this summer:
Nine patched
and pin wheeled
and crazy and embroidered ones.

Thank you so much for your contribution, they are wonderful!
